Silver candelabras antique . Pair. 1792.

Beautiful couple. With the hallmark of the “Torretta”(“Turret”)  brand of 1792.

Starting from 1200 the Genoese silversmiths, as a silver mark, were forced to use a figure of a stylized castle composed of three towers, of which the highest central

one, associated with the coat of arms of the city of Genoa. Subsequently it was called improperly “Turret” . Furthermore, in these candelabra there is also the hallmark of the “Griffin”, fantastic animal and associated with the city of Genoa.  Weight 63,5 oz.(1800 gr)  ; height  15,74 in.(cm 40)
